I've started doing lap swim again, dear reader. I find myself at the gym at 6 in the morning, wearing a teeny-tiny swimsuit that I'd never be caught dead wearing in public, and do my best not to drown as I flop my way from one end of the pool to the to the other for half an hour or more. I've come to regard it as an eXtreme Sport because, for me, there seems to be a higher than normal likelihood I will die.
I'm always concerned at how inattentive the lifeguards are. I once remarked to the lifeguard as I was getting out of the pool that I'm sorry she had to suffer through watching me trying to swim laps. She responded, "Oh, I didn't notice. I wasn't really paying attention."
Add to that even through there's generally 2 lifeguards, they are teeny-tiny petite young women who, even working as a team, probably couldn't drag me out of the pool, and I've just come to accept the fact that if I do slip under the water and don't come back up, game over man. Game over.

NEW READERS: This comic references a recent mini-arc pretty heavily. Sorry about that.

Or, hey maybe you will become a ghost pirate and haunt the pool, swashing buckles and whar not.

That is why I swim butt naked.. except for my water wings. The life guards, between dry heaves, cant take their eyes off of me!
